Dr. Broadhead received an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Lethbridge and a Doctorate degree from the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in Iowa. Following medical school, Dr. Broadhead completed a three-year surgical residency here in St. Louis at Tenet Healthcare System Hospitals, including SLU, Forest Park, Des Peres, and Southpointe.
Dr. Broadhead is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Broadhead is proficient in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including trauma, reconstructive surgery, pediatric flatfoot surgery, diabetic limb salvage, and amputation. His training also included rotations in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine and General Surgery.
When not practicing medicine he loves to spend time with his wife and children. As a family they like to fish, camp, swim and enjoy being outdoors. Dr. Broadhead also loves to coach his kids' hockey, basketball, and baseball teams.
Dr. Collins is a native of Southern California and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at UCLA and his Doctorate degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He spent his final year of education at Los Angeles County + USC Hospital in downtown Los Angeles earning the Outstanding Clinician Award during his time there. He completed 3 years of post graduate training; 2 years of surgical training at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Santa Clara, CA and an additional year of Fellowship training with Northwest Podiatric Foundation in Seattle, WA studying Surgical Biomechanics.
Dr. Collins is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. He has volunteered his time serving on several committees of the College, has been published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and occasionally serves as a spokesman for the College in media relations.
Dr. Collins enjoys all aspects of foot and ankle medicine and surgery including: conditions of the skin, reconstructive surgery for bunions, hammertoes, flatfeet, diabetic limb salvage, sports injuries and trauma. He works in conjunction with area internists, vascular surgeons, rheumatologists and orthopedists to ensure complete care for his patients.
When not caring for his patients, you can find Dr. Collins attending one of his children's numerous sporting events or bouncing around in his old 1964 Landcruiser that he's restored with his twins.
Dr. Torgrude is a native of Madison, Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in Exercise and Sport Science and found out about podiatry during her senior year of college. She is a graduate of William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago and came to St Louis to complete a 2 year surgical residency at DePaul Hospital. She has now been practicing podiatry for over 17 years in the St Louis area but transitioned to mostly long term care and mobile podiatry over 10 years ago to have a balance of family and career while she raises her 3 children.
Dr. Torgrude is board certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry in Primary Care.
When not caring for patients, she can be found spending time with her husband Mike, on a soccer field, baseball diamond, gymnasium, or dance studio cheering on and enjoying their children's passions.
